Crystal Banks
Junior Cheerleading Coach
My name is Crystal Banks. I am 16 years old. Currently, I am a sophomore enrolled at Curtis High School in University Place, WA. Theater arts and entertainment peak my interest so I’ve taken a drama course and this is my first year as a member of the Curtis Dance Team. I'm also very interested in foreign languages. I have been extending my knowledge and understanding of Spanish since I was in 7th grade. I plan to study an additional language before I graduate from high school. My long term career goal is to become an Attorney.

I am interested in being a junior coach because my parents raised me with a sense of giving back to my community. I also held the position of junior coach last year and I will play a lead role in the creation of the Tacoma Steelers Dance/Drill Team. My desire is to be a positive example or role model for my peers and the younger generation. I’ve been around sports all my life and I’ve been involved with cheer for the last four years. Through sports and cheer I’ve learned the importance of dedication, hard work, and team unity. My genuine love for kids along with skills I’ve developed and experience I’ve gained will benefit me in inspiring and motivating others.
